Per Lush’s Website, it describes Grease Lightning as:
Cleanse and soften upset skin with a gentle herbal infusion of thyme, tea tree and rosemary. This super effective cleansing gel makes easy work of problematic dirt and oil, and a calming blend of organic aloe vera gel and grape juice soothes and calms irritated skin. Dab on any problem areas, wait a tick, and your skin will feel clean and refreshed in no time.
I do not quite understand why it states “cleansing gel?” Am I supposed to wash it off? Is it because of the 3 main essential oils (thyme, tea tree & rosemary)? That is not the feeling that I get if so. What I am left with is some sort of odd feeling after this product dries. There is no possible way, even with multiple primers, that I could smoothly apply foundation.
So why funnel the thought process into only using in the morning, despite some “friends” deciding to take up residence on our face (Click for yesterday’s post on how I treated some acne)? By applying at night, you wake up with clearer skin. Maybe it’s the essential oils. Maybe it’s the witch hazel. Don’t ask; don’t tell! For $14.95USD for clearer skin, I’ll keep it stocked up in the bathroom at all times. If someone knows why they call it a cleansing gel- please let me know in the comments!
Thank you to Lush for creating another product that works! I will forever be a loyal customer. This was purchased with my own cash and not sent to me to test out. I am not that type of blogger.
