Last night I gave you lovelies a SNEAK PEAKSNEAK PEAK – now it’s time for the real!
As soon as I tore open the box, I was greeted with orange and white packaging that anyone could use in their gym bag. Mesh backing for sweaty items. Score! Now look at how large each of the samples are!
Overall, I am a huge fan of multi-tasking. I was saving my morning workout for the Ouai Treatment Masque. Not ready for a full head wash, as the directions stated to shampoo out, I emptied the whole sample onto just the top of my head, pinned up and got down to THIS WEEK’S WORKOUT. I always feel that the heat helps to really let a mask sink in. Thoughts?
Directions for the tarte FRXXXTION Stick state it can be left on like a mask- even more multi-tasking! Since there are super small grainy bits in this, rub in circular motions to exfoliate yesterday away. Here’s a quick tip- if you’re into oil pulling, add some orange essential oil during this time for pearly whites later!
After those Donkey Kicks about killed me, time to rinse & shampoo out the Restorative Mask. Yes I am a lemming and followed the directions to shampoo after, but it feels like one would not need to. Has anyone else tried the mask and didn’t shampoo? Let me know in the comments below how styling went.
Tarte’s stick rinsed off with no residue and made my skin feel better than any mask I tried this week. YAAASSSS Tarte!
Caudelie’s Moisturizer would be great for someone without oily skin. It has SPF 20 in it, which is awesome, however it is not destined for this skin unless genetics change. But, hey- Mom will like this one. She has her own vanity here for when she visits, so that will stay on her must try list.
Why have I never thought of making my own scented wipes? Hmmm… maybe a future blog post? This was so nice and refreshing to swipe after a hot shower. Bergamot, freesia, jasmine come out the most on me. Not sure if I would wear all the time, but it’s 70 out, so it is an appropriate scent for the temp- just not a winter scent.
Clinique’s Almost Lipstick in Black Honey is a cult-classic that I think has been around since I started wearing makeup decades ago. It produces a moisturizing glossy finish when swept on. However, this product has never been my style. I love a more pigmented finish. For example, today I am loving Anastacia’s liquid lippy in Sepia. This one is going on Mom’s vanity as well because it will be a great topper over lipstick for her if she’s running a little dry.
Dermablend’s Loose Setting Powder is magnificent for all of us baking gals. Tapped some into the lid and applied with a damp beauty blender. 10mins later and a few swipes with a fluffy brush, I was perfectly set for this afternoon’s festivities. Super jazzed!
This is probably my 5th or 6th Sephora Play box and am really happy yet again. It is kinda hard to get on the list due to popularity, but do sign up. You will not regret the $10/mon to try out some great products before taking your points pass to your local Sephora. Let me know in the comments how you made out this month!
