Setting out to make an impact on someone else’s life takes a lot of tenacity and willingness to take advantage of the short time that God has given us on this magnificent Earth.
Find the energy in the morning to get up. Yup. That can be a hard one, but it is sooo worth it. Set an intent. Find a quote to follow for the day. Work out. Yup another crappy thing to think about. Get ready and put that war paint on- today we are making an impact!
Here’s a tiny portion of my morning-
5am- Why is someone calling my SO this early? Ugh ok. Find glasses and start moving, but it more looks like a weird twerk. Not the cute Nicki Minaj or Miley style either. Slump to the kitchen and thank God for an automatic coffee maker that starts brewing that harmonious goodness at 445am for me. Say a few prayers and get down to business.
515am- Stumbled upon this great quote that I think will stick to my ribs for the day:
—Carla Harris, vice chairman and managing director at Morgan Stanley
Now we are ready to do a quick workout. I call it “30.” Maybe I’m reminiscing of how in shape I was then and it’s a tribute: 30 pushups, 30 crunches, 30 lunges (each leg gurl!), 30 reverse crunches, 30 jumping jacks, 30 side plank dips (let’s just do 15 on each side for now until we are more awake), 30 donkey kicks (yup get that other leg going), 30 grand plie in 2nd position, 30 arabesques and finish with 30sec plank.
How will you make an impact today?
Gotta go- time for a shower and to show that badassery has no gender!
