Egg fast for now. Here are some egg facts- Yolk color depends on the diet of the hen. Eggs age more in one day at room temperature than in one week in the refrigerator. A large egg contains only 70 calories and 5 grams of fat. Egg protein has just the right mix of essential amino acids needed by humans to build tissues.
What is an Egg Fast you ask? Hell for me! But, I need to feel better after that trip. It rocks my intestines everytime I go out of town. I just cannot help myself- I want to eat everything with everyone I get to see only a few times a year. Here are some stats on egg fasts to better help you understand:
For every egg you eat, eat a gram of fat. That could be a cube of cheese or pat of butter. Then, just keep eating eggs for the rest of the day.
So I tried this before for 72hrs. Ketosis was not fun and actually got what is known as “Ketosis Flu.”
The basic symptoms are:
– Upset stomach
– Lack of mental clarity (brain fog)
