While there is a lack of research testing health benefits, I find there is still a great amount of aroma-therapeutic benefit when adding Geranium Essential Oil to my routine. There is no vitality label version through Young Living, so I wouldn’t necessarily advise ingesting. However, I do promote using this topically and diffusing to promote emotional stability, reducing inflammation after a hard workout and creating a relaxing pillow spray with Lavender Essential Oil. I love adding a drop to face wash at night to combat those annoying bumps that seem to sprout out of no where by morning. Or, if you have a tea tree toner, add a few drops. Got cellulite? Add to your lotion with some Lemongrass Essential Oil too!
If you are a fan of using a hair oil prior to shampooing, mix 5 drops of geranium essential oil to 1/2c of V-6 Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex or fractionated coconut oil. Your scalp and hair strands will be so happy! Your follicles will rejoice!
Try this hair mask on your sunny Saturday if you have a few hours to kill while catching up on work. There will be plenty of leftovers for during the week:
1/2 bottle of Young Living’s Vanilla Copaiba Conditioner
1/4c melted coconut oil
2T Honey (use only the good stuff)
3T Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
2T Olive Oil (optional)
Whip vigorously in the Kitchen Aid for a few minutes prior to spooning into a reusable/sealable container. Let me know your thoughts once you try this! Leave a comment below!
