Hey all you lovely people out there! Back on the 9th, I showed ya’ll what I would be receiving in this month’s Ipsy Bag in my sneak peek. Well, now that I have had 5 days to play, I thought I would let you know my thoughts on all these goodies! Hope you are having a fantastic month!
VASANTI COSMETICS Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator – Exfoliating Cleanser
I have strong and resilient oily skin. When products state to use 2-3 times per week, that usually means safe for me to use every day. So far, no redness, but I do believe that the best way to rinse this clean, is in the shower. There was a film with a little sandy feeling left when trying to rinse at the vanity. Do I see a difference on my skin? Do I have redness after hopping out of the shower? Nope. Possibly, with LONG term use, I will see a difference. I will not be purchasing the full size.
Urban Decay Afterglow in Sin
In love. Need I say more? The coverage is fab. The color is fab. Your foundation will not move due to application of this powder. Well done UD! Will I purchase once I hit pan? Most likely yes!
Jelly Pong Pong Supercharged Super Intense Eyeshadow Duo in Electric
Per Ipsy’s website, it states no fall out. There is, but what eyeshadow doesn’t, unless you wet it with setting spray, etc? Is there a ton of fall out? No. Unfortunately, this shadow duo came broken, but with a quick email to customer care, they are sending a new one for free! Love their customer service! The packaging is quite sturdy and the mirror is handy. I know that I will get a TON of use out of these semi metallic colors this summer. The darker of the two looks nice as a bronzer too! Try setting your lipstick with either color or both. You will thank me! Will I purchase? Probably not. These are full sized products I believe.
CAILYN Cosmetics Pure Lust Extreme Matte Tint + Velvet in #32 Practicable
The shade is described as cinnamon nude. It doesn’t pull red at all like I thought it would. I’m pleasantly surprised it is a nice dark nude/brown shade. The applicator needs to be wiped off prior to each use. There is WAY TOO MUCH product on it when removing from tube. Another warning about the applicator, if you are dog parent and the air conditioning is on, it will attract dog hair that is floating around. Do not use a lip liner, prime your lips with foundation or even a lip primer. You will have weird flaking if your lips have any other product on them. Do not layer a gorgeous lipstick over it either (think Mac Cosmetics All I Want from the Mariah Carey Collection). Flaking will occur then too. The formula breaks down easily, so just wear alone, don’t eat or drink, for the next 6hrs. Will I purchase once I run out of this shade in this full sized tube? Nope.
Royal & Langnickel MODA™ Royal & Langnickel Precision Angled
I’ve never heard of this brand. Have you? Where has this brush been all my life? Holy shit I can use it everywhere! I think I am more in love with the idea of contouring my nose like a pro, to smoothing out under my eyes during the day, to carving out some cheekbones. OMG if you want the most blinding highlighted face, use this brush! Does anyone else know this brand well enough to tell me if all their brushes are bomb-AF? If so, let me know in the comments below, as to which other brushes I need to check out. TIA!
