Review: Shiseido Pureness Matifying Moisturizer

Happy Tuesday to all you lovely people! Hope that you are having a fantastic week!

I received this for free from a pretty awesome reader- My Mother! On a recent vacation, she picked up this super pretty bottle for me. As we all know, I am constantly trying to find a Holy Grail that will support this oil slick of a face. I have been using it daily for about 2 weeks now, and think I have a pretty good grasp as to how it will perform for me.

This moisturizer is oil-free, but also in the line: Gel-Cream, Blemish Clearing Gel, Pore Minimizing Cooling Essence and Oil-Control Blotting Papers. Shiseido has multiple skincare lines that are really pretty cool. I recommend the White Lucent and Ibuki’s for those that are not quite as oily as myself.

Per Sephora’s Website (buy it HERE! for $33.50USD), this moisturizer is also good for acne prone skin. We all know I wake up with friends on the daily, so of course I am attracted to this product. Although it is lighter than most comparable products, it doesn’t run the marathon under my foundation. However, if it is a no makeup kind of day, the oil was kept away for a few hours. Trust me, that is better than most!

Packaging, besides looking awesome on the vanity, is heavy. Shiseido made this one feel expensive. The pump is durable and not one of those that will malfunction part way through the year.

For face and neck, I did use 2 pumps, and am looking forward to using this more in the super hot months of summer to check on it’s performance. The moisturizer does provide a little bit of hydration. When skincare companies say “pH balanced” and “oil-absorbing powder” in it’s description, I think that us Oily Gals will agree- this might really work!

Let me know in the comments below if you have tried the rest of the line and if there are other items I should consider! I think that with continued use, I am going to be searching out more in Shiseido’s Matifying arsenal.
