Review: Perfectly Posh

Recently, a pretty cool chick here on the lake, Vicki, asked if she could send me some samples and let her know what I thought. I’ve never heard of Perfectly Posh, so why the heck not, right? I’m ALWAYS looking for new stuff to try in the hopes of finding that “holy grail” product. Here are my thoughts on the bundle she sent:

Pineapple Pick Me Up- Exfoliating Fruit Enzyme Face Mask. $19.00USD for 2oz Full Size. Apply a thin layer on face and neck for 5-10mins and rinse thoroughly. Finish with a moisturizer.  Key ingredients: Acai Fruit Extract, Apple Extract, Glycerin, Honeysuckle Flower Extract and Orange Peel Extract.
Review- I have a feeling that I would need to use this for 10 days to truly give you lovelies a full review. Using once, did not give me instant gratification or a glow like what I am hoping for with long term use. However, there was some tingly sensations when first applied. That’s a good sign, right?

Absolute Passionfruit Snarkybar– Soap. $16.00USD for 6oz bar. Key ingredients: Shea Butter and Sugar. Shea butter is an excellent skin & hair conditioner. Not recommended for face.
Review- Love love love the smell! Did I mention I love it? Many body products that have a passionfruit scent have a “disgustingly sickly sweet artificial smell” that I feel is all chemical based. Not this one! This soap really smells clean and has the most interesting exfoliating properties. Per Vicky’s website, there are sugar beads in the formula to make this an aggressive exfoliator. I believe the description is 100% true. While I was in the shower with this bad boy, I figured that it was more like a pumice stone for your feet. Of course, I have a habit of using things wrong, but so glad that it can be used all over, except the face. Shaving was so much easier, and all the little bumps on my arms are gone. It is a MUST BUY in my book!

Spawesome– Soap. $9.00USD for 7oz. Blend of mint and eucalyptus. Key ingredients: Glycerin, Mica, Sodium Palmate and Sunflower Seed Wax.
Review- If you are looking for something to perk you up in the morning, this soap is light, but uplifting to the emotions, while calming all at the same time. I wish that I had tried this at night rather than in the morning, so that I could get the full effect. Next time!

Two to Tango– Hand Creme. $9.00USD for 3oz. Same key ingredients as Lil Snarky, but with tart citrus, sweet fruits, and spicy vanilla.
Review- scent was not over powering, but I don’t think that I will order. I already make up a homemade whipped body butter that smells pretty similar. Feel free to reach out to me if you would like the recipe!
Lil Snarky- Hand creme. $9.00USD for the 3oz Full Size. Key ingredients: Allantoin (chemical compound that moisturizes and soothes irritated skin and stimulates new skin growth, treat burns, scars and psoriasis symptoms), Aloe Vera, Apricot Kernel Oil, Coconut Oil, Glycerin and Vitamin E.
Review- The description sounds divine, but hand cremes (lately) are just not my thing. If they are yours, think about how great this one will be for you! There are some really great ingredients in this one for moisturizing, but I just like making my own.

The Detox Body Mud Stripper Pure Clean- $24.00USD for 8oz. Vanilla and spice scented. Key ingredients: Allantoin, Aloe Vera, Charcoal, Glycerin, Kaolin, Menthol, Safflower Seed Oil and Vitamin E.
Review- Per Vicki’s website, this is a super strong scrub and should be used lightly on the body and not on the face. But, it sounds too good to me not to use on the face. I have had a “friend” take up residence near the right hand corner of mouth and that does not want to leave. Shortly after applying all over my face, there was a level of tingling that made me second think applying to anywhere other than the body. But, I am a chemical peel pro, so how could this be worse? Within minutes, I noticed that my “friend” was oozing out stuff that I knew was in there, but I could never get it to come to the surface. Let’s fast forward to applying my other skin care items- went on completely smooth after rinsing this mask off in the shower. My face feels amazing and that pesky zit is barely noticeable now. My liquid foundation even went on smooth without a need for a ton of concealer. SUPER AWESOME must buy! An added bonus is that the full size is huge for $24.00!

Never Grow Up– Anti Aging Face Creme. $24.00USD for 1.5oz. What makes this one special is Coffee Extract.
Review- I LOVE products for the face that are anti-aging and contain caffeine. To me, that is a great way to go to have instant effects. This creme has a very thick consistency and light on the fragrance. Also important to me that there isn’t any artificial fragrance that could be carcinogenic, let alone break me out. My skin is too oily for this product. Just not right for my skin type, so I will not be adding it to my facial regime. However, it make the skin of my neck feel pretty supple. If you have dry skin, you are probably going to obsess over this one.

Overall, I think that Perfectly Posh has some great products and I cannot wait to try out more! If you would like to view these products on Vicki’s site, CLICK HERE! Let her know I sent ya!
